Wolf E Series Single Wall Oven, 24 and 30 Inch
In one line
E Series is the built-in most often already in the wall when a Westwood kitchen is being reworked, and it comes in two widths that share almost nothing electrically. Los Angeles Wolf Repair Pros reads the width and the plate before quoting anything — (310) 706-2347.
E Series is the quiet one. It has been in the catalogue in one form or another since 2007, it lacks the touchscreen theatre of its stablemate, and it is what a great many Westwood apartments have behind a panel that was last opened when the kitchen was fitted.
Two widths, and they are not one appliance scaled
The 24-inch is planned around an opening 23 1/4 inches high, 22 1/8 wide and 23 deep; flush inset makes that 23 3/4 square by 24 deep. The 30-inch takes the same opening as its M Series cousin — 27 1/2 by 28 1/2 by 23 1/4, or 28 3/4 by 30 1/8 by 24 set flush. Trim behaves differently too. On the 30-inch the face laps an inch at the head; on the 24-inch it laps a quarter. Both take eleven sixteenths at the sides and nothing at the foot.
The electrical split, which is the real dividing line
A 30-inch E Series is hardwired: grounded 240/208 volts, a 30 amp dedicated circuit, 22 total amps, 5.4 kilowatts, four feet of conduit. The 24-inch is a plug-in appliance on its own 20 amp circuit, through a grounded NEMA 6-20R receptacle and a six-foot cord, and Wolf specifically does not recommend a ground fault interrupter on it because that can interrupt operation. Both carry the same caution about a supply under 240 volts.
Reading the plate
Wolf’s own timeline is the fastest way to date one. SO30-2F and SO30-2U cover 2007 to 2009, with handled variants carrying on to 2013 and SO30-2G listed for 2012 and 2013. SO30PE, SO30CE and SO30TE run 2015 to 2020, SO24TE arrives in 2016, and SO3050TE and SO3050PE take over from 2021.
What we are called out to
On the older boxes, control panels and door seals. On all of them, the rack guides: they hang on mounting screws in the side walls and must seat squarely, and they come out with the racks before any clean cycle or they discolour. The bulb is a 20-watt halogen, changed only with the power off at the box.

How do I tell which E Series generation I have?
By the whole model number on the plate, not by the look of the front. Singles read SO30-2F or SO30-2U for 2007 to 2009 stock, SO30 with a trim letter from 2015 to 2020, and SO3050 from 2021. Read it out to Los Angeles Wolf Repair Pros on (310) 706-2347 and you will get the answer back.
Can I put a 30-inch E Series where a 24-inch one is now?
Not without rebuilding the opening. The two widths differ by more than six inches of opening, the taller box needs a deeper base rating, and the supply has to change from a plugged 20 amp circuit to a hardwired 30 amp one. Treat it as joinery and electrical work, not a swap.
Why does my oven shut itself off during a long day of cooking?
The E Series control turns the oven off automatically after twelve hours of continuous use, except in dehydration and Sabbath modes. That is designed behaviour rather than a fault. If it stops well short of twelve hours, or will not restart afterwards, the control or the supply is worth looking at.
